Will this procedure remove some of the dark circles and crow’s feet?
A blepharoplasty will not remove crow’s feet or dark circles from your face. Other techniques such as laser and intense pulsed light treatment can be performed to treat these problems. Botox and dermal fillers may also be an option. Dr. LaPatka can discuss the alternatives best suited to you.

What can correct the hollow look of my eyes?
The hollowness is a result of loss of volume. This is addressed by fat grafting into the tear trough and determining how much of the loss of volume is in the cheek (malar) fat pad. If you look at the eyes of people as they age you will note that the lower eyelid lengthens. This is due to the cheek pad that has descended and “pulled’ the eyelid down. In most patients eyelid surgery and volume replacement will alleviate this but some would be best served by a “cheeklift” which is done endoscopically. Some patients can also be treated with fillers but it depends on the severity of the problem.
